AcuTip Spot Treatment at Clinique La Roya

AcuTip is a focused laser handpiece on the Cutera xeo+ platform, made to treat individual lesions with millimeter precision. It reaches brown spots, broken capillaries, cherry angiomas and small vascular blemishes in the outer layer of the skin.

Treatment begins with a medical assessment at Clinique La Roya, a physician-run practice led by Nawar Al-Obaidi, MD, an internal medicine physician. Together we choose which marks to treat, typically one to three per visit, and leave the skin around them as it is.

AcuTip Spot Treatment Concerns

  • Brown spots and sun spots

A brown spot on the face, hands or chest fades as the treated skin sheds, and the skin around it stays untouched.

  • Small facial vessels

Broken capillaries around the nose and cheeks clear vessel by vessel, and cherry angiomas are treated the same way.

Our AcuTip Spot Treatment Process

  1. 01

    Physician-led assessment

We examine your skin and the marks you would like gone, then confirm which spots and vessels AcuTip can treat. Dr. Al-Obaidi sets the plan for the visit.

  2. 02

    Targeted treatment

The AcuTip handpiece is placed over each mark in turn and delivers a focused pulse. The session takes about 15 minutes.

  3. 03

    Aftercare guidance

A treated spot may scab or darken for five to seven days, then clears as it sheds. We give you written aftercare and plan any further spots at the same visit.

Common Questions About AcuTip Spot Treatment

How many spots can AcuTip treat in one visit?

Typically one to three. Dr. Al-Obaidi confirms the number at your assessment, based on the size and type of each mark.

Does AcuTip treat the whole face?

No. AcuTip treats one mark at a time. For redness or pigment across the face, a LimeLight IPL Photofacial in Paramus, NJ may suit you better.

Is AcuTip led by a physician?

Yes. Every treatment at Clinique La Roya begins with a medical assessment led by Nawar Al-Obaidi, MD.

Areas We Serve

Physician-led care across Bergen County

Clifton

Clifton's Upper Montclair Country Club is the only golf club in the United States that has hosted professional events from all three U.S. tours. Golfers spend hours with face and hands in the sun, and AcuTip treats the brown spots that time can leave there, spot by spot. Our clinic is in Paramus, north of Clifton.

Wayne

The Van Riper–Hopper farmstead in Wayne keeps a historical herb garden beside its archeology laboratory. An herb garden is tended by hand, plant by plant, and AcuTip is just as selective: we treat the marks you choose, and the skin around them stays as it was. Paramus, where we offer it, is east of Wayne.

Hackensack

From 1954 to 1969, the Eastern Clay Court Championships were played at the Oritani Field Club in Hackensack. Clay rewards placement, and so does AcuTip, which delivers each focused pulse to a single mark on the skin. Hackensack is south of Paramus, home to our clinic.

Teaneck

Milton A. Votee Park in Teaneck covers 40 acres, with picnic areas, an in-ground pool and walking and bike paths. When afternoons in the sun leave a brown spot behind, AcuTip can treat that spot on its own, with no full-face treatment. We offer it in Paramus, west of Teaneck.

Fort Lee

Ross Dock Picnic Area in Fort Lee has metered parking from April 1 to October 31. If those months leave pigment across the whole face, AcuTip can be paired with LimeLight, which treats the wider area while AcuTip takes the single marks. Our clinic is in Paramus, north of Fort Lee.

Fair Lawn

The Radburn Association's 23 acres of green space in Fair Lawn include four tennis courts, five ball fields, two swimming pools and an archery plaza. An archery plaza is a place for aim, and AcuTip is aimed with millimeter precision, one lesion at a time. Our clinic is in Paramus.

Garfield

Garfield station serves NJ Transit commuter trains on the Bergen County Line. Patients heading back into a working week leave AcuTip with written aftercare, so they know how to look after each treated spot. Paramus, home to our clinic, is north of Garfield.

Englewood

Mackay Park in Englewood covers 28.6 acres and houses the city's Parks & Recreation office in its Gatehouse. For patients from Englewood, AcuTip begins with a medical assessment by Nawar Al-Obaidi, MD, who examines each mark before the first pulse. Englewood is east of Paramus, where we offer it.

Bergenfield

Bergenfield runs a community garden on Windsor Road for its residents. A garden grows bed by bed, and AcuTip can work the same way: if you have more spots than one visit covers, we plan the rest across later visits. Our clinic is in Paramus.

Paramus

Saddle River County Park covers 596 acres in five sections, all joined by one paved path for pedestrians and bicyclists. Our clinic is in Paramus, where AcuTip runs on the Cutera xeo+ platform alongside LimeLight, Laser Genesis and Cool View, so a single spot and a wider concern can be planned together.

Mahwah

The Ramapo Valley County Reservation covers 4,000 acres in Mahwah, bordering Ringwood State Park and the Ramapo Mountain State Forest. A day in country that open is a day in the sun, and a brown spot it leaves can be cleared with AcuTip as the treated skin sheds. Paramus is south of Mahwah.

Ridgewood

The Wild Duck Pond on Ridgewood Avenue has picnic areas, a dog run and playgrounds. A still pond shows the smallest detail, and AcuTip works at that scale, treating the small marks you notice up close without touching the skin between them. Paramus is south of Ridgewood.
