Treatment

InBody Body Composition

A few-minute InBody scan measures muscle, fat and body water separately, so progress shows in more than one number.

The scan is non-invasive. You stand on the device, and a physician reviews the readings with you.

InBody Body Composition Overview

InBody body composition analysis in Paramus, NJ breaks a single body weight into its parts: muscle mass, body fat and body water.

Your first reading becomes a baseline, and repeat scans show how muscle, fat and water shift as your plan progresses.

Clinique La Roya is a physician-run practice led by Nawar Al-Obaidi, MD, an internal medicine physician. Each scan is read as part of a physician-led wellness plan.

InBody Scan Measurements

  • Muscle mass

Muscle is measured on its own, so repeat scans show whether it is building or holding.

  • Body fat

Fat is measured apart from muscle, so a change in fat stands out from one scan to the next.

  • Body water and balance

Body water is read alongside muscle and fat as the third measure in each scan.

Your InBody Consultation

Your InBody scan begins with a physician-led consultation. We go over your goals and what you want to learn about your body, then run the scan in our intake room.

You leave knowing your muscle, fat and water readings and what they mean for your wellness plan. Where another service suits your goals better, we say so.

Common Questions About InBody Body Composition

A few minutes. You stand on the device for the measurement, and we confirm timing when you book.

Does the scan hurt?

No. The scan is non-invasive: you stand on the device while it measures muscle, fat and water.

How often should I repeat it?

That depends on your plan. A physician sets a schedule for repeat scans, so you can follow the change over time.

Areas We Serve

Physician-led care across Bergen County

Clifton

Delawanna, a New Jersey Transit commuter rail station, serves the Delawanna section of Clifton. A rail stop is a place you step on and off, and an InBody scan asks about as much of you: you stand on the device, and nothing more is needed. Our clinic is in Paramus, north of Clifton.

Wayne

The Point View Reservoir dam in Wayne was built in 1964 to hold the water of Haycock Brook for municipal drinking water. Water has its own line on an InBody scan too, measured beside muscle and fat. Paramus, where we offer the scan, is east of Wayne.

Hackensack

Bergen County Academies, a tuition-free public magnet high school in Hackensack, was established in 1991. A school marks progress in more than one subject, and InBody tracks your progress in three readings: muscle, fat and water. Hackensack is south of Paramus, home to our clinic.

Teaneck

The Teaneck Public Library began in 1913 in the sun-parlor of a house, as a library for neighborhood children. Our InBody scan also works from a single room: the intake room at our clinic. We offer it in Paramus, west of Teaneck.

Fort Lee

Fort Lee's parks include Constitution Park, Firemen's Park, Fort Lee Commons and a dog park. For anyone who walks, runs or trains there, an InBody scan shows whether that effort is building muscle, measured apart from fat. Our clinic is in Paramus, north of Fort Lee.

Fair Lawn

In 1955, Fisher Scientific established a chemical manufacturing facility in Fair Lawn. Work of that kind runs on measurement, and InBody brings measurement to the body: muscle, fat and water, each as its own reading. We offer the scan at our clinic in Paramus.

Garfield

The Garfield Public Schools district serves grades PreK-12 in 12 schools. Each grade builds on the one before, and each InBody scan builds on the last, so the trend shows across visits. Paramus, home to our clinic, is north of Garfield.

Englewood

Dwight-Englewood School is an independent college prep school serving preschool through grade 12. Preparation is the work of a school like that, and an InBody scan is part of preparing a wellness plan, with figures for muscle, fat and water in hand before it begins. Englewood is east of Paramus, where we offer the scan.

Bergenfield

The Bergenfield Public Library offers ESL classes, museum passes, a Library of Things and notary service, all under one roof. Our clinic in Paramus keeps many services under one roof too, with InBody beside aesthetics, wellness and medicine in a single physician-led practice.

Paramus

Paramus is where Route 17 meets the Garden State Parkway, at a partial interchange, and it is home to our clinic. An InBody scan here can be the first reading for medical weight loss or truFlex muscle toning.

Mahwah

The Mahwah Public Library has served the Mahwah community since 1913. Service that steady runs on a schedule, and InBody scans with us keep one too, with a physician setting when to repeat them. Paramus is south of Mahwah.

Ridgewood

The Rathbone–Zabriskie House at 570 North Maple Avenue is a historic stone house built around 1790. The house has stood since then, and an InBody scan asks far less of your time: a few minutes on the device. Paramus is south of Ridgewood.
