Potenza RF Microneedling Overview
Potenza is an RF microneedling device for skin texture. We offer Potenza RF microneedling in Paramus, NJ for acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven texture and fine lines.
A physician assesses your skin and its history first, then sets the needle depth and the energy for each area. The surface and the layers beneath it are treated in the same visit.
Clinique La Roya is a physician-run practice led by Nawar Al-Obaidi, MD, an internal medicine physician.
Concerns Treated by Potenza RF Microneedling
Potenza treats four concerns, from pitted acne scars to fine lines and early laxity.
-
Acne scars and pitted texture
Pitted scars left by acne soften gradually, session by session.
-
Enlarged or stretched pores
Pores that have enlarged or stretched look finer, and the skin around them more even.
-
Uneven skin texture on the cheeks
Rough patches across the cheeks smooth into a more even surface.
-
Fine lines and early laxity
Fine lines soften, and skin that has begun to loosen looks a little firmer.
Potenza RF Microneedling Process
- 01
Assessment and numbing
First, we look at your skin and confirm that Potenza suits your goals. A numbing step follows, so treatment stays comfortable.
- 02
Microneedling with radiofrequency
Fine needles enter the skin and deliver radiofrequency energy at the depth set in your plan, area by area.
- 03
Collagen remodeling
The skin smooths gradually in the weeks that follow, and each session in the course adds to the result.
Your Potenza RF Microneedling Consultation
Potenza is priced per session, so the number of sessions a physician recommends at your consultation sets the cost of the course.
If another treatment would suit your skin better, we recommend it instead.
Common Questions About Potenza RF Microneedling
Does Potenza RF microneedling hurt?
For most patients, very little. A numbing step comes first, and during treatment you may feel warmth and light pressure.
How many Potenza sessions will I need?
Usually more than one. Texture goals take a short course, and a physician sets the number at your assessment, based on your scarring and skin.
Is there downtime after Potenza?
A little. Expect redness and mild swelling for one to two days, and we schedule sessions around your calendar.
Can Potenza treat acne scars?
Yes, many of them. Potenza softens acne scars as the skin remodels, and your assessment shows how your own scarring is likely to respond.

Areas We Serve
Physician-led care across Bergen County
Clifton
Clifton's Main Memorial Library was dedicated in January of 1953 as The Clifton Memorial Library. A library keeps a record, and so does skin: we read its history, from past breakouts to the scars they left, before setting the depth of a Potenza treatment. Our clinic is in Paramus, north of Clifton.
Wayne
William Paterson University in Wayne was founded in 1855 and is the third-oldest public institution in New Jersey. A degree there is earned over several semesters, and Potenza is planned the same way, as a short course of sessions. Paramus, where we offer it, is east of Wayne.
Hackensack
The Metropolitan Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University straddles the Hackensack River in Hackensack and Teaneck. The campus holds both banks, and a Potenza session likewise treats two levels at once: the surface, where texture shows, and the layers beneath it. Hackensack is south of Paramus, home to our clinic.
Teaneck
Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus spans the Hackensack River in Teaneck and Hackensack. A university is where study goes deeper, and Potenza goes deeper than skincare, for acne scars and rough texture that creams have not changed. We offer it in Paramus, west of Teaneck.
Fort Lee
Fort Lee High School was established in 1916 and moved to its current location in 1928. The school took years to reach its present home. Potenza results take weeks, as the skin smooths after each session. Our clinic is in Paramus, north of Fort Lee.
Fair Lawn
The Fair Lawn Public Schools district serves students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district covers every stage of school, and Potenza covers a range of texture concerns, from pitted acne scars and enlarged pores to fine lines and early laxity. Our clinic is in Paramus.
Garfield
The Dundee Dam on the Passaic River stood at the north end of the Dundee Canal beside present-day Garfield. A dam lets a river's force through in measure, and Potenza releases radiofrequency energy the same way, beneath the surface. Paramus, home to our clinic, is north of Garfield.
Englewood
Dwight Morrow High School is named after businessman and diplomat Dwight Morrow, who lived in the city. A school named for one resident carries a personal mark, and each Potenza plan does too, set for one person's skin and scarring. Englewood is east of Paramus, where we offer it.
Bergenfield
Bergenfield High School was established in 1940. A high school is where many people first deal with acne, and Potenza softens the pitted scars it can leave behind. Our clinic is in Paramus.
Paramus
Bergen Community College has its main campus in Paramus. Our clinic is in Paramus as well, in Bergen County, and every session of a Potenza course takes place there.
Mahwah
Ramapo College of New Jersey is a public liberal arts college in Mahwah founded in 1969. A liberal arts education joins several disciplines, and Potenza joins two methods in one treatment, microneedling and radiofrequency. Paramus is south of Mahwah.
Ridgewood
Ridgewood High School was created in 1892. A school with that much history has watched generations grow up. Potenza works on the earliest signs of the years on skin: fine lines and skin that has begun to loosen. Paramus is south of Ridgewood.
